Reminder, the next meeting of the MCBA Visual Journal Collective is
Monday, October 15, 2012.
It will be at MCBA in Open Book, from 7 to 9 p.m. (The Collective is an adult journal group and you can read about it here. It is free.)
Artist Steve DeLaitsch
will be talking about his travel journals.
He will discuss "the direct and efficient drawing techniques used to create" his travel journals. He will also discuss the creation of private sponsorships. The books he'll discuss include but are not limited to Alaska, China, California, the Southwest US, Australia, and Italy. His sketches also include familiar areas from Lake Street, Minneapolis to the North Shore and his local territory of Southeast, Minnesota.

DeLaitsch works in a variety of media and is also a printmaker and a muralist.
Join us at the meeting to be inspired. Bring your own visual journal to share after the talk as time allows.
