Above: Page spread from a 6 x 9 (approx.) inch journal made with Nideggen paper. The sketch is graphite and gouache, with a lot of pushing around with a paper towel. Another fantasy person with some animal body parts. Click on the image to view an enlargement.
I had a lot of fun doing graphite and gouache experiments in this latest Nideggen journal. I almost selected another one to work in, but decided to go with a square watercolor paper journal instead. It doesn't lend itself to these experiments in the same way, so I'll be shifting and doing other things in it. I know that I'll keep playing with the graphite and the gouache, but I'm not sure where it will take me. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.
For now it's time to say good-bye to the Nideggen journal.
